Senior Embedded Software Engineer - HW Validation

CogniVue is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop drivers and test applications for image cognition processor (ICP) SoCs. Responsibilities include all aspects of validation on an FPGA platform, chip bring-up and failure diagnosis of silicon. As an expert in FPGA validation, you will work closely with the Hardware and Software teams while doing low-level embedded software design and hardware debugging. The successful candidate will also mentor less experienced members of the team.

Your Expertise:

7+ years experience with low-level embedded software development and digital video and image processing and image cognition. Experience designing and developing HW Abstraction layer drivers. Expert knowledge of digital video processing technologies. Hands-on experience with digital video image processing, H.264, MPEG2, TVout, RGBLCD and 2D3D standards. Embedded ARM /DSP programming with C/C++ and assembly. Experience using RTOS such as Nucleus or VxWorks. Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions. Ability to provide technical mentorship to less experienced team members. Ability to provide technical leadership while working in partnership with other development teams. Effective oral and written communication skills. Capable of identifying and solving complex problems. Experience with: I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, MMCPLUS, DMA, Ethernet, CAN. Experience using System C.
